ต้นตอเดียวกัน

หากเราจะจำแนก
หิมะในชามเงินและ
นกกระสาใต้แสงจันทร์กลมสว่าง
ทั้งสองสิ่งย่อมแตกต่าง
แต่หากเราผสมกลมกลืนมันเข้าด้วยกัน
จะเห็นว่าทั้งหมดต่างก็มาจากต้นตอเดียวกัน

As snow is contained in a silver bowl,
And as a white heron hides in the bright moonlight,
When you classify them,
they are different from each other.
But when you unify them,
they are the same in the Source.

คิดทำไม

ทำไม? ไม่มีคำตอบ
นอกจากการเคลื่อนไหวของตาและคิ้ว
และที่นี่ ตัวฉันเองกำลังพยายามเฝ้าค้นหาคำตอบ
ในทุกแง่มุมให้คลายสงสัย แต่ยังไม่พบ
ในที่สุดฉันก็รู้สึกตัว และพบว่า
พระจันทร์ยังคงลอยอยู่เหนือแนวสน
แม่น้ำก็ยังคงไหลเชี่ยว
(ไม่รู้ว่าที่ผ่านมาคิดไปทำไม)

Why, it's but the motion of eyes and brows!
And here I've been seeking it far and wide.
Awakened at last, I find the moon
Above the pines, the river surging high.

สุขาวดี

เมื่อจิตกระจ่างและไร้สิ่งครอบงำ
ย่อมหยั่งรู้ถึงรูปแบบของสัจธรรม
เมื่อความคิดสิ้นสุด และ ลืมความรู้สึกต่างๆได้
ย่อมหยั่งรู้ถึงรูปแบบของสัจธรรม

เมื่อละความเห็นแก่ตัวและราคะได้
ย่อมเข้าถึงวิถีแห่งเต๋า
เมื่อจิตเรียบและง่าย บริสุทธิ์ และรวมเป็นหนึ่งได้
ย่อมเข้าถึงสุขาวดี

When the mind is clear and
freed of preoccupations,
It is possible to fathom the
design of reality;

When thoughts are ended and feelings forgotten,
It is possible to fathom the design of reality.
When selfishness and desire disappear,
It is possible to arrive at the Tao.
When one is plain and simple, pure and whole,
It is possible to know the celestial.

เขาคือใคร

อย่าเสาะแสวงหาเขา มิฉะนั้นเขาจะหนีจากท่าน
ขณะนี้ซึ่งฉันอยู่อย่างโดดเดี่ยว
ฉันพบกับเขาในทุกหนแห่ง
เขาจะเป็นสิ่งที่ฉันเป็น
แต่ในทางกลับกัน ฉันไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เขาเป็น
เพียงแค่มีความเข้าใจในแนวทางนี้เท่านั้น
จึงจะสามารถหลอมรวมเป็นหนึ่งกับเขาได้

Do not seek him anywhere else,
Or he will run away from you?
Now that I go all alone,
I meet him everywhere.
He is even now what I am.
I am even now not what he is.
Only by understanding this way
Can there be a true union with the Self-So.

สงสัย

..... เมื่อฉันจากไปแล้ว
กาน้ำจะยังคงหวีดร้อง
และนกน้อยก็ยังคงส่งเสียงเพรียกร้องกันเจื้อยแจ้ว
ฉันสงสัยเพียงว่า ท่านจะยังคงจำคำของฉันได้อยู่หรือ

When I've faded away
The kettle will still whistle
And the birds still sing.
I wonder if you'll recognize
The sound of my voice.
