         ช่วงเช้าวันที่ 8 พฤศจิกายน 2559 ถือเป็นอีก 1 วันที่น่าจดจำของชาวไทยกับภาพน่าขนลุก ขบวนช้างที่เป็นสัตว์คู่บ้านคู่เมือง และคู่พระบารมีของพระมหากษัตริย์ไทย มีการทำพิธีถวายบังคมพระบรมศพ พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช บริเวณหน้าพระบรมมหาราชวัง

          ทั้งนี้ทางวังช้างอยุธยาแลเพนียด ได้นำช้างลักษณะมงคล มีงางาม 11 เชือก เดินทางจาก จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยาเข้าสู่กรุงเทพมหานคร พร้อมควาญช้างกว่า 200 ชีวิต โดยแต่งองค์ทรงเครื่อง-ทาผิวช้างด้วยดินสอพองอย่างสวยงาม ก่อนจะทำพิธีถวายสักการะ ในหลวง รัชกาลที่ 9 พร้อมกับประโคมมโหรี มีการแปรขบวนและหมอบกราบ ยกเท้าด้วยท่วงท่าสง่างาม และมีการร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมี บริเวณประตูมณีนพรัตน์ หน้าพระบรมมหาราชวังด้วย นับเป็นภาพที่ดูแล้วงดงามในหัวใจชาวไทยทุกคน
