ไม่ควรกล่าวว่า.. มีเพียงน้ำใสสะอาดเท่านั้น
ที่สามารถจะสะท้อนเงาจันทร์ได้
เพราะโคลนตมที่เฉอะแฉะก็สะท้อนท้องฟ้าได้เช่นกัน
เฝ้ามองให้ดี เมื่อลมหยุดพัดและคลื่นบนผิวน้ำสงบลง
ดวงจันทร์ที่แจ่มกระจ่างก็ยังคงงดงามเหมือนเดิม

  Don't say that only clear
water mirrors the moon,
Muddy water also reflects the sky.
Watch, after the wind has settled
And the waves are calm,
For a wonderful moon,
as lovely as before.

อย่าคิดเอง

จงหยุดการปฏิบัติแบบนึกคิดเอาเอง
จงเชื่อในพระธรรมและปฏิบัติตามคำสอน
และเรียนรู้การย้อนกลับ
ซึ่งจุดประกายความสว่างไสวอยู่ภายใน
เมื่อนั้นรูปขันธ์และนามขันธ์ จะหายไป
จิตก็จะกระจ่างชัดในรูปลักษณ์เดิม

Cease practice based on
intellectual understanding,
Pursuing words and following
after speech,And learn the
backward step that Turn your
light inwardly to illuminate yourself,
Body and mind of themselves will drop away
And your original face will manifest.

ถ้ำสมบัติ 

เมื่ออยู่ในถ้ำมหาสมบัติ แต่มองไม่เห็นสมบัติในถ้ำ
เป็นเรื่องน่าเสียดาย
หากเราพัฒนาจิตให้ใฝ่หาการรู้แจ้ง
ในที่สุดทุกสิ่งจะกลายเป็นการปฏิบัติ
เพื่อความหลุดพ้นจากอวิชชา
แม้ว่าเราจะยังมีชีวิตอยู่
ท่ามกลางความทุกข์ในวัฏฏะสงสารก็ตาม

It is pitiful that we are living in
a treasure mountain
But cannot see it.
If we develop and enlightenment seeking mind,
Everything becomes the practice of enlightenment,
Even if we are in the midst of
the various worlds of samsara.

ลองคิดถึงสายลมแผ่วพัดผ่านแนวสน
ในภาพวาดด้วยหมึกอินเดีย
หรือมันจะมิใช่
"สภาวะของการเคลื่อนไหวในความหยุดนิ่ง"
